Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team on a cutting-edge Data Center project in Frankfurt. This position will focus on ensuring the highest standards of quality throughout the construction and commissioning phases, specifically related to HVAC systems, , and chilled water systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Control: Oversee the mechanical systems’ quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes during the design, construction, and installation phases, with a focus on HVAC systems.
- Ensure proper installation, testing, and commissioning of Air Handling Units (AHU), Fan Coil Units (FCU), chillers, and chilled water systems.
- Inspection & Testing: Perform inspections and testing of mechanical systems to ensure compliance with design specifications, regulatory standards, and client requirements.
- Commissioning Support: Work alongside commissioning teams to ensure HVAC systems (AHUs, FCUs, chillers, chilled water systems) are fully functional and meet performance standards.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed reports on HVAC system inspections, test results, and quality audits.
- Collaboration: Partner with project managers, engineers, contractors, and vendors to resolve any mechanical system issues.
- Compliance: Ensure all mechanical installations comply with local regulations, safety standards, and sustainability goals.
- Troubleshooting: Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving related issues during construction and commissioning.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in mechanical engineering, ideally within the construction or data center sector.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, specifically AHUs, FCUs, chillers, and chilled water systems.
- Experience with commissioning processes in large-scale construction projects.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures for HVAC systems and other mechanical installations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English
